The WineX factor hits Jozi

Wine lovers in for a treat as RMB WineX makes a comeback bigger and better.

Benjamin Franklin was once quoted saying, “The discovery of a wine is of greater moment than the discovery of a constellation. The universe is too full of stars.”

Wine enthusiasts from across Johannesburg will agree with Franklin as they brace themselves for the 2017 RMB WineX.

Jozi’s premier wine show makes a comeback with a bang for its 18th edition this year. Thousands of wine lovers are expected to flock to the Sandton Convention Centre for three days starting from October 25.

They will welcome the summer season by indulging in Pinot noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Chardonnay and much more other types of wines.

This year’s event has grown to be much bigger and better than last year with about 800 wines expected to be on the show.

It will not be limited to wine as it will extend to a showcase of a variety of other artisanal products and accessories from 150 exhibitors.

Last year’s WineX highlight for many was the Best Wines in Show competition. Vrede en Lust Boet Erasmus 2012 took the first prize as the Best Red Wine on Show.

The Best White Wine on Show was Diemersfontein Sauvignon Blanc 2016 while the Vrede en Lust Jess Dry Rosé 2016 took the first position in the Best Rosé or Sparkling Wine on Show category.

Attendees will again be delighted to know that Shop@Show is still available this year and will give them a chance to shop for their favourite wines.

Tickets are already selling like hot cakes at computicket and they will be available at the door as well.
