The 2017 Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Fellowship

Grade 12 students have the opportunity to apply for the 2017 Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Fellowship.

May 12 is the final day for aspiring Grade 12 candidates to apply for The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Fellowship.

The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation seeks the applications of entrepreneurial-minded matriculants for its university fellowship.

The Allan gray Orbis Foundation has partnered with various tertiary institutions within the Gauteng, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Free State provinces.

The fellowship will cover the full cost of university tuition, accommodation, meals, books and tutor allowances for the successful Candidate Fellow.

The fellowship will also provide a monthly living stipend, academic support, access to entrepreneurial and development programmes, mentorship from individually assigned foundation staff and business mentors, as well as access to potential postgraduate funding for the graduated Candidate Fellows.

The foundation aims to help candidates realise their entrepreneurial dreams and believes in the spirit of entrepreneurship as a means to ensuring long-term equality and prosperity while alleviating the socio-economic challenges of Southern Africa.

The foundation will assist candidates in cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset.

The fellowship presents the opportunity for Candidates to meet like-minded individuals and the foundation offers a lifelong support base for its Candidate Fellows.

Compulsory requirements for prospective Grade 12 applicants:

-Level 5 in pure Mathematics for Grade 11 final results

-Level 6 average for final Grade 11 results (excluding Life Orientation)

-Completion of the National Benchmark Test by 30 September 2017

-Applicants must be under the age of 21 in the year of their application

-South African citizenship

To apply, potential candidates need to visit www.allangrayorbis.org and download an application form.

Alternatively, candidates can send a free SMS containing “Gr12 and their fax number or email address” to 36777 and have an application form faxed or emailed to them.
