Extension 2 clinic to open soon, Eldos

Renovations expected to be complete by November 11

The clinic in Extension Two, which services the residents of Ward 18, has undergone a dramatic facelift. Upgrades to the clinic include the building of four additional consultation rooms to accommodate the recent influx of patients from the Greater Eldorado Park region. This includes patients who visit the clinic from Freedom Park, Joe Slovo Park, Devland and Eldorado Estates (Bushkoppies).

Upgrades also include two additional medical waste storerooms to cope with the increase. Clearvu fencing will be replacing the palisade fencing along the perimeter of the property, along with new paving in the parking area.

According to Humphry McCaully clinic chairman, the renovations are expected to be completed by November 11 depending on the delivery date of the fencing.

McCaully serves as an intermediary between the clinic and Ward 18 residents and has asked residents to utilise the clinics in Extensions Eight and Nine as services at the Extension Two clinic are limited to the treatment of babies; tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, repeats, chronic medication and general check-ups.

The Old Apostolic Church is being used as an examination venue for Willow Crescent Secondary School Grade 12 learners sitting for their final examinations and patients are requested to observe the treatments offered at the Extension Two clinic. If they fall into the category listed above, they may visit the clinic. Alternatively, they are required to visit the clinics in Extension Eight or Nine for treatment.

The clinic will be open from 730am to 4pm during weekdays and is closed on weekends. Humphry McCaully can be viewed in the video below, providing more information.
