Eldos hosts Arts Alive Shut Down Jazz concert

Jazz lovers get final chance to connect with their favourite performers.

Eldos Arts and Jazz Festival with Joburg International Arts Alive Festival hosted the Eldo’s Arts Alive Shut Down Concert last Sunday.

The event was hosted to commemorate the end of the Arts Alive International festival and to give Eldorado Park residents one last chance to enjoy a day of jazz.

The festival hosted at the Don Mateman Hall featured the famous Sipho Hotstix Mabuse, Dawnay, Caleb Johnson, Talent Mash and Mr. Soul S.

“Due to the initial Eldos Jazz Festival not taking place, the shutdown concert was done to give Eldos jazz lovers an opportunity to spend time with their beloved performers.

“The concert also serves to mark coming to an end of the International Arts Alive Festival and to accommodate the artists that had to perform at the Eldos Jazz Festival.

The 24-year-old International Arts Alive Festival aims to celebrate and embrace Authentic African arts and to display such talent on an international platform.

The festival is a year away from its silver jubilee as an International African centred festival that provides a platform for Africa to sell itself to the world.

“Arts Alive brings you the best in South African and global entertainment. We believe that everyone should have the privilege of accessing and experiencing quality music and cultural offerings,” said Xoliswa Nduneni-Ngema, CEO of Joburg City Theatres.
