Spar10z dancing their way to success – Eldos

Dance keeps students off the streets

Fresh from scooping gold medals at the South African School Dance Championships, Spar10z are setting their sights on the national championships set to take place from December 2 this year.

The group, comprising of member Denilson Smith, Aden Riberts, Mercedes Mackenzie, Chelcie Sasman, Keyana Sasman and Paige Harvey are regarded as the best junior hip hop crew and wish to see dance recognised as a lifestyle.

According to Smith, “We are also affected by the situations in our community, but we want to show the world that there is good which can come from Eldos.”

The group is affiliated with No Limits Dance Academy and Spar10z was founded in July 2016. They range in age from 12 to 16 and have also recently participated in the City Lights dance competition held at The Glen Shopping Mall.

Although placing as finalists in the competition, the dance crew are forging ahead and looking to the South African Schools Dance championships to prove their mettle at a national level.
