Love and respect the elderly
Respect our grannies and grandfathers now so that future generations will do the same.
The elderly were pampered on Friday when youth from Sanca gave them foot massages.
The day was arranged by May Kroats who also provided them with lunch and a blanket each.
“People left here crying because they aren’t shown appreciation by their own children.
“Youth must learn to appreciate the elderly, give them a hug and tell them you value them,” Kroats said.
She said showing appreciation starts with something as small as greeting the elderly.
Kroats encourages all organisations to value older persons.
“Imagine if all organisations from Eldorado Park dedicate a day to the elderly, how many people we will touch and make a difference,” said Kroats.
Her son Fabian Kroats said it important to realise the worth that older persons come with.
“Some of our elderly aren’t loved by their own families.
“We must start respecting our grannies and grandfathers now so that future generations will do the same,” Kroats said.
