A profession and talent that often goes unnoticed will be recognised at the Ethnique Hair and Beauty Show from October 24.
Barbers will have an opportunity to showcase their talent at the show.
“Barbering is not just a hobby, it requires skill, professionalism and talent.
“It can also be an opportunity in business when barbers become business-minded,” Lesley-ann Bezuidenhout said.
Bezuidenhout with Disce Mamabolo, Ephraim Ward and Tangy Buis formed DELT in aid of promoting the ‘growing industry’ as far as America.
“Our local barbers have the talent to compete abroad, their talent is world-class but they aren’t being recognised and exposed as much as they deserve to be,” said Bezuidenhout.
Battle of the Barbers will for the first time be a category at the hair show.
