Teen recognised for giving back

Cuba Stellenberg (13) appeared on Great Expectations, nominated by someone, for his contribution to the community.

Stellenberg is described as respectful, a leader, witty and helpful.

He describes himself as trustworthy, passionate about helping people and caring.

“That feeling when I see someone smiling is like a conquering feeling,” he said.

Stellenberg gets involved in as many community projects as he can, like clean up campaigns or help feed children at a welfare.

He is also a top achiever at school, according to Lesley-anne Bezuidenhout.

She said Stellenberg should inspire youth to help where they can in order for them to appreciate what they have.

Stellenberg echoes this.

“Help where you can, there’s always hope in the community,” he said.
