Pupils attend CSA ceremony

Central Cricket acknowledges local cricketers.

Faidah Bhayat and Mellissa Lewis, two girls from Everest Primary School, have been acknowledged by Central Cricket for flying their school and central flag very high, .

The two took part in the CSA (Cricket South Africa) Breakfast Awards Ceremony for the amateur and national under-19 players at Killarney Country Club recently, handing out the trophies to and representing the KFC Programme.

The presence of the Proteas certainly made it an occasion the girls will not forget for years to come.

In addition to the CSA Awards Ceremony, Lewis was chosen, amongst other learners from various schools, to attend a KFC photo shoot in Rivonia on June 5, and be the face of KFC Mini Cricket for the season 2015/2016.

“To all the schools, principals, teachers and sports administrators thank you for all your hard work and continued support with regards to sport and especially cricket in our schools,” said Bryan Patel, Area Coordinator of Gauteng Schools Cricket
