Educating youth on employment

NYDA promises to return and set up an office in Eldorado Park.

After listening to concerns of residents in August, the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) brought information to them.

“We listened to the concerns of residents and because of that we arranged a ‘Jobs for Youth’ summit,” NYDA chairperson Yershen Pillay said.

The summit was held at Don Mateman where Sefa, Johannesburg Metro Police Department, EMS and NYDA shared information on how to be a success.

“We live in a generation of opportunities that our parents never had, a generation where we can break away from poverty,” Pillay said.

Youth were advised on how to make themselves employable and setting up their own business.
