There has been an increase in rape cases police say.
“Unfortunately during April and May we have seen an increase in young girls being raped,” captain Phillemon Khorombi said.
Since the latest incident where three girls were raped, police are urging girls to be careful.
“We have noticed a trend in girls drink being spiked and when they wake up they cannot remember where they were last or who they were with,” said Khorombi.
He said that young girls, es are invited by their friends to ‘chill’ and have a nice time is a trap because it is at parties or when girls are drinking that they are raped.
A girl was one of the four suspects arrested in the case of the three teenage girls who were raped.
“We cannot divulge too much information on the case because it is under investigation,” Khorombi said.
