A nationwide competition held by OK stores was won by two residents from Eldorado Park.
Thomas Jacobs and Deon Goliath both won a Nissan Bakkie each.
“This was a blessing from God,” Jacobs said.
Goliath said he didn’t believe that he was a winner.
“When I got a phone call telling me I won, I though it was a joke.
“When I realised that I had won, I was over the moon, it was an awesome feeling,” Goliath said.
The competition was run over three months across the country.
OK gave two of the 12 bakkies to residents from Eldos.
“I was very excited that two people won,” said Leon Cornelson of Crystal Mall.
He said that he drove around looking for the winners after the draw in Cape Town.
“The judges couldn’t get hold of one of the winners so I went to the chemist to get his details,” Cornelson said.
He thanks the community for their support and said without them, two bakkies would not have been won in Eldos.
