LDAC recognised for work

Organisations are proud to receive an award on behalf of Eldos.

The Eldorado Park Local Drug Action Committee (LDAC) and Jonathan Butler Foundation received a special award from Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane.

The gold award, Premier Service Excellence Award, was given to LDAC for the role they played for making a positive difference in the community.

“We are excited and honoured to receive the award on behalf of the community,” said chairperson of LDAC Cheryl Pillay.

She said that this is the first time any drug action committee received an award and LDAC is privileged to be recognised in this way.

“LDAC has been instrumental in combating crime and fighting drug use and we are proud of the work done so far,” Pillay said.

LDAC will be taking the award to the many organisations affiliated to LDAC to show them that their efforts aren’t in vain Pillay said.

“This award belongs to all stakeholders making a difference.”
