Police are warning residents of the increase in house break-ins.
“We thought that after the festive season the crime would have dropped but it has increased.
“We have seen an increase in many crimes especially house break-ins,” said captain Phillemon Khorombi said.
He urges neighbours to look after each others homes and contact the home owner and police if they see anything suspicious.
Khorombi said that the police aren’t getting as much support from the community as they did last year.
“We want people to report crimes that they have seen, even if they weren’t victims.
“We need to stand together and fight crime,” Khorombi said.
