Award winning dancer turns Instructor

Local dancer promotes a healthy lifestyle in opening Zumba classes in Bosmont.

Lameez Patel has been a dancer since she could remember and throughout out her career she has achieve two South African medals in Hip Hop and a silver in freestyle, both of these are internationally recognised.

Besides making her mark in the dancing industry Patel still did social development in Bosmont.

“I tough underprivileged kids Hip Hop at Bosmont Primary during 2008, 2009 and various other schools across Gauteng,” said Patel.

She has decided to become a Zumba Instructor and start having classes on a weekly basis’s in other areas but wants to start a class in Bosmont.

“I am a Licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor and currently have classes Mondeor and Crown Gardens,” said Patel.

Zumba is a dance fitness programme and it involves dance and aerobics elements.

Zumba Fitness offers a vast amount of genres ranging from Axe, Batucada, Bachata, Cha cha cha, Posodoble, Calypso, Merengue, reggaeton, Salsa, Cumbia, Flamenco, Soca, Tango, Quebradita, Samba, Bellydance,

Tribaldance, African beats, and Latin pop.

Because of the high demand to host classes in Bosmont.

“I was approached by some ladies residing in Bosmont and Fleurhof to host classes in Bosmont,” said Patel.
