Plans for the BLFA

Terms and conditions are set for soccer teams who are wanting to enter leagues this yeah.

The Bosmont Local Football Association (BLFA) have released their diary for the year.

In the midst of receiving a sponsorship the BLFA has set terms and conditions for clubs that want to be or are part of the super league.

“Since our last meeting there have been many developments that clubs need to be advised of,” said Michael Kahn.

Some of the important dates to diarise:

– Preliminary meetings will be on February 2 starting at 11.30am and February 16 at 11.30am.

– The AGM will be March 9 starting at 11:30am

– Council meetings held on March 16 at 11.30am

– The Annual Golf Day will be held March 21 at the Crown Mines Golf Course.

– The Derby Day competition for juvenile’s players that are aged six to ten years old and juniors on March 15.

– The Seniors Derby Day will be March 16

“We are in discussion with the authorities on the use of the fields in and around Bosmont including, St Barnabas, St Theresa’s, Cecil Payne, Bill Jardine, Trezona Park, CJB High, RW Fick and more to ensure that our fixtures are not disrupted by the renovations and upgrading of the facilities,” said Khan.

The leagues will kick-off off on March 21- 22.

The figure is R150 000 over three years. 40% will be spent as an educational beneficiation for all Super League clubs.

60% will be allocated to incentives and prize money.

All existing Super League clubs will be accepted. All other clubs will be accepted on the following conditions;

– They must be a properly constituted club with elected officials

– They must subscribe to the BLFA and SAFA Constitution

– They must register a minimum of three teams in addition to the Super League team

· Juvenile team (six to ten years old)

· Junior (U11 or/and U13)

· Youth (U15 or/and U17)

– They must register technical officials (coaches and referees).

– Application for membership will be adjudicated by the BLFA executive.

– Applications for membership will be accepted from today (forms from the office).

– Applications must accompany the affiliation fee of R2500

– Affiliation fee for the Super League remains at R2500 per annum.

– Registration fees for senior players are set at R80
