Gifts and blessings pour in

Cavendish Primary School has received many blessings this year.

Cavendish Primary School has received many blessings this year.

The school was selected amongst others to receive an ABSA CSI project donation.

27 staff from ABSA visited the school this year to read, inspire, educate and encourage pupils in life skills, reading and mathematics.

After these soft skill contributions the bank donated R50 000 to the school for the repair of school chairs and the construction of a guard house with pupil shelter.

Parents, pupils, teachers and ABSA personnel personally got involved in repairing and refurbishing the school chairs. The buildings were completed in September this year.

Christ Embassy Church painted the school on Heritage Day as part of their community outreach projects. The project which amounts to no less than R80 000, according to principal Fabian Kelly, saw church members volunteer their time and energy in making a change to the lives of the Eldorado Park community.

“I am grateful to Colonel Smith from the police, our school’s Adopt A Cop officer, who is responsible for linking the school and the church,” said Kelly.

Many trees were donated by Liberty Life and the AVENG group this month.

Corporate associates addressed the pupils around the importance, care and appreciation for trees. Grade one and six learners from the school planted trees that would benefit many in years to come.

Kelly thanks God Almighty for his favour and blessings on the school and school community in Eldorado Park, Extension Six and beyond.
