A group of former pupils have resurrected the Westbury Secondary Alumni after the organisation was inactive for years.

A group of former pupils have resurrected the Westbury Secondary Alumni after the organisation was inactive for years.

The group were approached by the principal of Westbury High School, Dr Been Robinson to raise funds for a multi-purpose centre with seven classrooms that will be self- sufficient, because they will not be running on the electricity of the school.

They had a ‘Santa comes to town’ dance in July at the Westbury Hall and the dance was a success.

The next event is a golf day that will take place October 31 at CMR golf course.

The intention is to invite around 120 golf players to play the day.

The golf day will be the last event for the year.

The dance and the golf day will be a yearly event but they are hoping to add two more events next, there are four fundraising events planned for the school next year.
