At-least 200 families fed by Disoufeng in Meadowlands

Seeing that most families are struggling during this time Tebogo Phiri and his team thought it would be wise to prepare some soup and bread for the less fortunate.

Although most pubs and clubs are going through the most difficult times due to Covid-19 pandemic, Disoufeng Pub in Meadowlands Zone 10 hosted a soup drive for more than 200 families.

Upon arrival on the venue people were tested for a possible fever, handed masks and car guards made sure that there was social distancing amongst the recipients.

Owner of the pub Tebogo Phiri explained that they always had an initiative where they call children around in a year to spend a day in the place known as Disoufeng cares.

Seeing that most families are struggling during this time Phiri and his team thought it would be wise to prepare some soup and bread for the less fortunate.

Phiri added that their also planning on asking for donations from their customers. He emphasised that they don’t ask for money but basic things to help them prepare a meal.

One of the recipients Goodwill Masondo expressed his gratitude and stated that it is indeed a good initiative needed by the community as most of them are unemployed.
