Suspects found in possession of drugs and a firearm

The Jabulani SAPS determined to curb crime in their precint.

The Jabulani SAPS Constables Sifiso Nkabinde, Zane Manse, Silvester Mbambo, and Phumlani Ndaba continued with their dedication and passion for the service when they arrested suspects dealing in drugs and for a possession of a dangerous weapon on Tuesday, February 11.

The first suspect on the day was an adult male named Nhlanhla Kubheka aged 20 years and was apprehended for possession of drugs next to Ikwezi train station as they were found with 20 small transparent plastics with a substance suspected to be a drug and a few minutes later while heading to the station to detain the suspect the police received information about another suspect that was allegedly selling drugs nearby namely Sphamandla Mvelase aged 39 years.

On another separate incident at about 3:00 pm, Celimpilo Ndebele aged 29 was arrested for Possession of a dangerous weapon when the very same police received a complaint of an aggressive male having a firearm and upon arrival, they discovered it was a toy.

The very same day, the same police officers also discovered a suspected stolen vehicle BMW X5 that was being monitored by securities at Jabulani Mall and the suspects are still being traced from the video footage.

The case is still under investigation and those 3 suspects that will be appearing at Protea Magistrate court on Thursday, February 13 and at the time of the release of the statement, it has not yet been confirmed whether or not they had been granted bail.

Brigadier Lebeko stated that it was a job well done from the members and the efforts of the members are not gone unrecognised.
