A still born baby was found at Protea Gardens mall inside a bin

Zandile Radebe was cleaning the toilets and emptying the bins as usual when she found a huge plastic bag inside the bin.

A still born baby was found at Protea Gardens mall inside a bin last Sunday morning around 7:30 am. Thaka Tohkang, a supervisor of the mall suspect that the baby girl was dumped on Saturday night before the mall closed.

Zandile Radebe was cleaning the toilets and emptying the bins as usual when she found a huge plastic bag inside the bin.

” I was emptying the bin and I found a plastic bag, it was heavy and the smell was bad, I took it outside and threw it where we throw waste , as I came back to the toilet, I saw blood inside the small bin where the plastic was, the blood had a bad smell and it was turning black, I decided to go check what was inside the plastic.

“I took the plastic out and went to the office whereby one security guard came along to check out the plastic bag, we opened the plastic bag and found a dead baby girl inside it, the baby was rapped in three plastics, we then called the police who arrived around 11” – a statement compiled by Sergeant Ndlovu of Protea Glen Police.

The police service have taken measures to find out who the baby belongs to.
