The Rainbow Nation brightened when the Springboks RWC Trophy tour took a shortleft in Soweto.

The Springboks, our very own national rugby team, is touring parts of the country to share the excitement with supporters who cheered them on during the Rugby World Cup in Japan.

The squad won the cup after defeating England 32-12 in the final.

The Springboks team also made their way down to Soweto with the famous trophy.

Our reporters were there on the ground for coverage.

Maponya Mall was brought to a standstill as the Rugby World Cup 2019 Trophy tour arrived at Chris Hani Road, some shoppers were seen leaving their shopping just to go and witness the moment, Rasta was also seen proudly showing off his drawing of the  Springboks Captain Siya Kolisi.

Furthermore, Sowetans again came in numbers to show their support to the Springboks at Vilakazi Street in Orlando West. They were so hyped that they started doing some of the rugby tactics like scrum.
