Komsana plans on dropping an album called Last Didiza which will push his 2nga1Slolo movement

The next Pro-kid in the making.

His passion for hip hop music started back in 1996 when his late brother introduced him to Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones well known as Nas music.

28-year-old Komsana said local artists are limited, so it’s difficult to succeed and to make it in the industry you have to be well connected.

He was exposed to music at a tender age of 10. In 2001 he was lucky to be amongst the performers who were performing in the inauguration celebration of Guga Sthebe that was in the mother city.

“I was the youngest of them all because I was only 12 years at that time. My mission now is to close the gap Pro-Kid left, he was my favourite rapper in South Africa,” said Hype Liyaku.

The musician is very versatile as he is also a poet and a performing artist. He plans on dropping an album called Last Didiza which will push his 2nga1Slolo movement, the first single of the album will be Ama Delakufa, which will see Hype Liyaku tap into gqom and will help him flex his versatility.

“I am Nas with the pen game, and 2Pac with the attitude, I think Kasi stories should be told by people who know the struggles in Kasi,” stated the rapper.

Hype Liyaku mentioned that he feels that he opened doors for many upcoming artists when he founded Kaap Koalition which is made up of various other rappers such as Lewswag, Calley from Langa, Gugulethu and Khayelitsha. Kaap Koalition which is aimed at empowering local singers and rappers.
