WATCH: Blaq Diamond’s Ibhanoyi has finally landed

Blaq Diamond’s Ndu and Danya are love-struck and they cannot help but make everlasting promises to their better halves.

The Afro-pop duo known for serenading their supporters with soul-stirring, love-filled songs today release a brand-new song titled Ibhanoyi accompanied by stunning visuals.

Ibhanoyi has a unique sound that gives a colourful and exhilarating feeling. This is a new sound the SAMA nominated duo has created, a mix of African Pop rhythms and mbube harmonies. Ibhanoyi single comes after their much-loved song, Memeza that is still climbing up the charts.

Ibhanoyi visuals narrate a story of two young men that hail from the village to the big city of Johannesburg to find a better life for themselves and their partners back home.

To keep the promises, they made to their lovers, the young men start off by washing taxis, move to being taxi drivers and finally, with dedication and hard work, they become taxi owners and buy houses for their companions.

“We love what we have created. We are confident that it will touch and heal people’s hearts. Memeza marked a new phase for us and that phase continues with Ibhanoyi. People will dance with their lovers and friends,” said the pair.

Ibhanoyi music video premiered on SABC1’s Live Amp at 19:30.
