Shot for 10Kg rice and 10kg sugar in Snake Park

Constable Xazi said police are investigating a robbery and attempt murder case.

A foreign national was robbed a 10kg rice and 10 Kg sugar at gun point and later shot by four males suspects at his tuck shop in Blog 12 Snake park.

According to the Dobsonville police spokesperson Constable Mzwakhe Xazi, two of the four suspects entered his tuck shop and pointed the shopkeepers with a pistol.

“They took 10kg rice and 10kg sugar.

“The suspects didn’t take a cash that was in the cash register before running away from a crime scene.

“The shopkeeper came out of the tuckshop chasing the suspects and they shot at the shopkeeper on the leg.

“A local 11-year-old girl was also shot at by the same suspects when leaving the crime scene,” said Constable Xazi.

The two victims were rushed to the nearby hospital to receive urgent medical attention and they are both recovering well.

Constable Xazi said police are investigating a robbery and attempt murder case.

They are searching for the four male suspects and urge people with the formation to come forward. Meanwhile, police are concern about the escalating online sale robbery taking place within their Dobsonville police jurisdiction.

Constable Xazi said there are several reported cases of online sale robbery registered at Dobsonville Police Station.
“Suspects post pictures of cars or any items that they are selling online.

“The unsuspecting clients are encouraged to first make payments electronically.

“The clients then are being advised to go at a particular address or place to fetch their purchased item.

“Victims only learned that they were robbed when they get at the address mentioned by the suspect,” said Constable Xazi.
