Man arrested at Protea Glen mall for alleged credit card fraud

The suspect will appear at Protea Magistrate Court on charges of fraud.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at Protea Glen mall for fraud, police spokesperson Vincent Mashiteng confirms.

The man went to the store and wanted to buy clothes using a credit card and the shop assistant did a background check on the card and it was found that the card belonged to a person who leaves in Kwazulu Natal.

Then the shop assistant quickly told the security guards at the mall and the man was apprehended.

The police were called and they responded quickly to the situation which saw the man being arrested.

Mashiteng said charges for fraud were opened against the suspect after he failed to tell the police about where he got the credit card.

The suspect will appear at Protea Magistrate Court on charges of fraud
