Willow Crescent Secondary School comes out tops in Eldorado Park

The school has a pass rate of 87.72 %, the highest in the Greater Eldorado community.

The school principal Willow Crescent Secondary, Olivia Hill, is extremely proud and excited for her learners.

“Last year was a tough year for our learners and teachers but with results like this they definitely defeated the odds and towered through.

“Our learners made it because of the support they received from the community. We did it because of everyone’s prayers,” said Hill.

Silindile Haya, Rita Ledwaba and Niyaaz Solomon were among the many learners who collected their results yesterday.

“Knowing I passed is the greatest feeling in the world. I won’t lie and say it was easy because matric was one of the toughest years of my life. Most days we would leave school at 6 pm, the class of 2018 put in the hard work and it paid off,” said Haya.

Rita Ledwaba (learner) said that the school principal is the reason why the learners were so dedicated.

“She is amazing. She was very supportive of each and every one of us and she believed in us. She was always there when you needed her,” she said.

Hill said that she is excited for the new year and that she believes her learners will continue to work hard, stay focused and persevere. Klipspruit West Secondary School has the lowest pass rate at 40.43%.
