259 Jabulani Flats in the dark due to cable fault
Customers are urged to treat all electrical sockets and appliances as live at all times.
About 259 residents of Jabulani Flats, Soweto are without power supply due to a suspected cable fault.
“Three mini substations supplying the flats are currently off and our technicians are on site working on restoring power to the affected customers. The estimated time of restoration is not yet known,” says Nkosana Sibuyi, Gauteng Spokesperson.
Today, Soweto Urban contacted Innocentia Zabala of Soweto Eskom who wasn’t entirely certain whether the problem had been resolved yesterday and if power had been restored at the flats.
She is currently working to gather more information. We will provide an update then.
