Chloe Sandberg from Coronationville needs you

Empowering girls potential through Miss Eagle SA.

Chloe Sandberg (19) from Coronationville attended primary school at Bernard Isaacs and high school at Sir John Adamson. Sandberg plans on becoming a foundation phase teacher in the future. Sandberg has been in the Miss Eagle South Africa contest since last year August and is currently an ambassador.

According to Sandberg, Miss Eagle is looking for a fierce vibrant confident young lady to be an ambassador for your country. They looking for someone who brings change about in the community and she believes that she is that person.

The ambassador would like to enter Miss South Africa one day and she said that she believes that she will be the next Miss Universe.

“I work with kids every day as I’m a drum majorette coach so I just want to inspire girls to live out their destiny which God put upon their lives. There’s a lot of girls who get easily influenced by drugs and teenage pregnancy.

There are a lot of girls who drop out of school and just give up on their dreams but I want to be that girl that will help change that for them,” said Sandberg.

The nineteen-year-old has been in the drum majorettes for 11 years where she started at Bernard Isaacs Primary School.

In grade 7, she was the leader of the group and when it was time for high school there was no local school that offered it hence she went to Sir John Adamson High School.

“I did really well in high school, I was the leader for two years and I won Nationals twice. I got my Gauteng provincial colours when I was in Grade 9 and then my South African colours when I was in Grade 11 and in my matric year I got my Protea colours and then we travelled to Coria for the World Games and we went to Paris.

“There aren’t tertiary places that offer the sport so I got offered the job to coach at Grace Trinity School for Girls,” explained Sandberg.

She now finds herself as a coach for the past two years and her team went to America in March where they won all the excellence awards.

Sandberg assisted Miss D with charity work where they distributed meals for the soccer players in Westbury.

“I’d like to also start collecting non-perishable goods to donate at the old age homes,” said Sandberg.

Sandberg also did motivational speeches at the Westbury Hostel and would like to give skills training and empowerment to the girls in our community.

The contest empowered her to achieve her goals and it lifted her self-esteem. Sandberg needs your vote. Sms “Chloe Sandberg” to 35334. Sms’s cost R3 and no free SMS’s don’t apply.
