Man hit by taxi dies from head injuries
The driver of the taxi, fortunately, escaped uninjured.
A man, believed to be in his 30s, was killed on Tuesday when he was knocked over by a taxi on Durban Street in Johannesburg CBD.
ER24 paramedics were dispatched to the scene at 05h57.
Upon arrival, paramedics found the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, lying in the left-hand lane of the road. A taxi was found parked a short distance away.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious head injury and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.
The driver of the taxi, fortunately, escaped injury. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
