One dead during violent row in Bramfischerville Phase 1
The suspects have already appeared before the Roodepoort Magistrate Court.
Dobsonville police arrested a 23-year-old suspect on charges of house robbery and attempted murder in Bramfisherville Phase One.
According to the Dobsonville police spokesperson, Jeanette Phefo, it is alleged that the 22-year-old victim was asleep with his nephew in a shack when two men kicked down the door, demanding they hand over their valuables.
Phefo said, “The two men kicked the shack door open and gained entry. The gun-wielding men pointed a firearm at the victims and robbed them of their belongings.

“Luckily, the victims knew the men. One of the victims was shot and rushed to a hospital for treatment.”
Phefo has confirmed that a case of attempted murder has been lodged at the police station.
She said, “As a result of the subsequent investigation into the crime, one of the attackers was arrested in Bramfischerville by the police.”
In a separate incident in Dobsonville Extension Two, a 36-year-old male suspect was arrested for murder.

According to Phefo, an argument between the suspect and the deceased on March 4 became heated and a 35-year-old man was stabbed to death.
She said, “Police staged a manhunt for the assailant who was arrested in Dobsonville Extension Two.
The suspects in both cases have already appeared before the Roodepoort Magistrate Court and the cases have been postponed pending further investigations while the accused have been remanded in custody.
