The memorial service of the late Rev Charles Matsobane Gololo

Remarkable legacy.

The interdenominational memorial service of the late Reverend Charles Matsobane Gololo shared light on the heart and wisdom that reverend Gololo bestowed upon the Meadowlands community and other communities at large.

Born in Diepkloof 1985 Reverend Gololo was referred to as the father not only to his children but the father of the community that wanted to see the black child regardless of any circumstances.

Doctor Gideon Ingwane who was welcomed by the late to the church said that he was shocked by the news of Reverend Gololo’s death.

Mother and daughter, Mamorwa and Malebo Gololo.

“I called the Bishops phone and it went straight to the voicemail because I wanted to verify if the news I received is the truth.”

Doctor Ingwane spoke proudly of the legacy that Reverend Gololo left and preached that the only way that people can remember him is to follow his legacy.

“During our time on earth, we need to prepare ourselves whether we are going to heaven or hell. The only day we know is the day of our birth but the day of us going to heaven is not in our identity documents. In order for people to go to heaven is accepting Jesus as their saviour.

Doctor Ingwane said that even though they are celebrating the life of Reverend Ingwane but people must ask themselves the question if death visits them where are they going to spend their victories?

Bishop Joseph Photoe spoke proudly of the education that Reverend Gololo instilled to the youth of Meadowlands.

“The church that Reverend Gololo served has contributed a lot to the Meadowlands community. Reverend Gololo may be gone but we have to proceed with his legacy.”

Reverend Gololo obtained his matric at Madibane High School and furthered his studies at Forth Hare University where he obtained his Junior Law Degree; he proceeded to Wits University and obtained his LLB degree.

Dedicated to his craft Reverend Gololo opened his practice, Gololo Attorneys in 1997 which has been running until his untimely death.
He has been a mentor to many within the legal fraternity and a subject of praise from courts worldwide.

His contribution to the Meadowlands community is traced back when he became a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was active in the church serving under many leadership structures.

He succeeded the late Reverend Mohetloa as the senior pastor of Pentecostal Holiness church in Meadowlands which was later named Healing haven Ministries PHC.

He was a philanthropist who supported various projects around the continent. His philanthropic efforts included making higher education accessible, wellness and health programmes and spiritual endeavours.

He believed that for as long as he had the means to, no black child would be denied a decent life in South Africa.

The role Reverend Charles Matsobane Gololo played in the Meadowlands community is unforgettable.
