The ANC’s party conference is this weekend. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa will go head-to-head this weekend in their final bid for leadership of the embattled ruling party. Who will be the next leader and will they bring the change that people are looking for? Here are some statements made by readers in the Eldorado Park community.
Question: Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma or Cyril Ramaphosa? Why?
Finley Watson (pictured above) said, “I support Cyril Ramaphosa because I believe he is a worthy successor and is already doing damage control in the ANC. I completely support him.”
Yentle Watson
Yentle Watson said, “I am the treasurer for the ANC Youth League in Ward 18. I vote for Cyril Ramaphosa and the reason for that is because he is well educated,  and I don’t believe he is able to steal and he stands for equality. That’s the reason why I think he should be the next president.”
Caresmarel Hyman
Caresmarel Hyman said, “I choose to vote for Cyril Ramaphosa because he is going to bring change. He is already busy doing things for the youth. So if he is for us we can’t be against him.”
Delano Lee
Delano Lee said, “The reason why is support Cyril Ramaphosa is because look at what Zuma has done, he has done a lot of damage to the country and his association with the Guptas.”
