Sanco says no to illegal evictions

Illegal evictions must end.

Ward 47 Sanco say no to illegal eviction after the new house owners allegedly bought the house to unscrupulous house owner in S’godiphola. Speaking to the rightful house occupant Sandile Ndlovu, he said the house belongs to his late parents.

“The rightful occupants of this house in myself and my brother who is behind bars.

“My nephew came to me and asked me to borrowed him a title deed to registered two cabs he bought after getting his retirement package from then Jan Smuts Airport in 2010. He was nowhere to be found after I handed him the title deed until to date,” explained Ndlovu.

He acknowledged that the nephew did give him R10 000 to start his small and promised to build two outside roams and a garage.

Ndlovu said the R10 000 money to kickstart the small business after title deed exchanged hands. Ndlovu was surprised to learn later that the nephew was arrested for fraud. He said little did he knew that was the beginning of his ordeal until to date.

“Then the fraudulent new house owners came to the house claiming the new ownership which I disputed and won that dispute in Protea Magistrate Court.

“The second owner after being defeated sold the house to the third house owner who came to evict me last week. They removed the furniture of my tenants and told me to vacate the house,” explained Ndlovu.

However, Sanco and resident came out in large numbers and told the new house owner to leave the area and red ants’ security personnel to return the furniture inside the house.

Ndlovu said he is now disturbed by the constant new house owners who continue to disturb his peace.

He vowed to return to Protea Magistrate Court who ordered the second house owner to demand her cash she bought the house to the fraudulent house owners (Ndlovu’s nephew).

“I want the second house owner to realise that she has broken a court order by selling the house she doesn’t own. I didn’t sell this house to her because I’m not a sole owner of this property.

“If need be, I will also have opened the case to the third house owner. The truth is, I wouldn’t sell this house to anybody because this is my last alternative home I co-owned with my brother in prison, “said Ndlovu.

Phumzile Mathebula Sanco Ward 47 organiser said, Red ants’ security personnel are no more welcomed in ward 47. “This house is not for sale, they belong to our late parents.

“Next time they attempt to evict any person, they have to pass through us first,” concluded Mathebula.

Attempts to reach the second and third house owners were unsuccessful before going to print.
