UPDATE: Taxi driver dies after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in Mzimhlophe
Another taxi driver murdered
Yesternight, at about 10 pm, a body of a man between the age of 30 and 40, believed to be a taxi driver, was discovered in Mzimhlophe, Meadowlands.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. The police and paramedics were called to the scene but unfortunately, the victim was declared dead.
Captain Hilter Ngwenya said the motive behind the killing is still to be determined. He said the suspects are still at large and investigation is in progress.
“The police are working restlessly to find all the suspects who committed this crime. Such acts shall not be tolerated. The SAPS requests that anyone who has solicited information that may lead to the apprehension of these suspects, to contact their nearest police station as soon as possible.
“We further urge the public NOT to take matters into their own hands as this deems dangerous.”
