The show will be profiling these citizens who want to help others from all parts of South Africa

The fourth season of Play Your Part hit the small screen last weekend on SABC 2 after its launch at the SABC Auditorium recently.

The show by Brand South Africa aims to document and show how regular South Africans can inspire others by lending a helping hand to those in need; it’s about empowering viewers as they watch how others are adding value to their communities.

The show will be profiling these citizens who want to help others from all parts of South Africa.

During the launch, there was a sneak peek of what the first episode will be like for viewers and there were delegates from all parts different sectors of the country in attendance.

The docu–reality show is hosted by Play Your Part ambassador Kabelo Mabalane, a role model and inspiration on his own to young people with his story of recovery.

Sithembile Ntombela, Brand South Africa GM: Marketing said, “Play Your Part is delighted to be back on our television screens, to bring inspirational real South African stories that aim to uplift the spirit of our nation.

“In 2016, the Play Your Part programme travelled across the country to engage in conversation on social change with these active citizens and communities.

“Therefore, the series comes at a great time to further reassurance citizens that we have a nation of people who care for one another and want to contribute to eradicating social injustices and build a better tomorrow for all.”

The show is for everyone and there’s no age restriction because according to Ntombela it’s about building a poverty free country by 2030 through small acts of kindness.

So, if you missed the first episode, be sure to catch the next one next Saturday on SABC at 6 pm.

Thobile Mshwana and Kingsley Makhubela.
