Just In: Stampede at the Soweto Derby leaves 2 people dead and 16+ injured
Sad news from the Soweto Derby match
Apparently, two people have died and a few others injured in a stampede at FNB Stadium earlier today during the Carling Black Label Cup match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
After such a remarkable and exhilarating game, where Chiefs managed to successfully defend their first half goal, this undoubtedly is the saddest news to hit South African football supporters.
According to News24, the stampede happened at Gate-J.
Information remains sketchy at the moment but we will share more as soon as details are available.
