Can Teko Modise resurrect his career at Cape Town?
Cape Town City welcome Teko Modise.
Cape Town City took to Twitter to express their delight after Maestro Midfielder Teko Modise put pen to paper.
The club and the player agreed on a two-year-contract.
They tweeted that the midfielder would be wearing jersey number 13 and indicated that this was the first time that a player put on this jersey at the club.

The 34-year-old completed the move to Cape Town City after spending six-and-a-half-years at Mamelodi Sundowns.
According to the Sunday Times, “He was limited to just 15 appearances in the past season, 12 of which he came off the bench.”
Clearly, the player was spending most of his time on the bench and less on the field of play.
His agreement with Mamelodi Sundowns to terminate the contract meant that he was in a position to join a club of his choice.
The professional career of this Meadowlands born footballer dates back to 2001-2002 when he was playing for the likes of City Pillars and later joined SuperSport United after sterling performances.

Modise went big when he signed for Soweto giants Orlando Pirates in 2007 after he was voted Best Player in the First Division the previous year.
Many argued that joining the Soweto giants was the best decision Modise has ever made in his career.
He had a successful spell with the Buccaneers – putting in the work also for Bafana Bafana.
Although he convincingly won the CAF Championship and Super Cup with his former club, Modise will have to shift the focus to his new teammates and newly appointed coach Benni McCarthy.
Cape Town City finished 3rd in the Premier Soccer League standings after winning 16 games, drawing 7, losing 7 and earned 55 points below runners-up Mamelodi Sundowns with 57 points and champions Bidvest Wits with 60.
