Thathezakho on the drive for male recruits

Thathezakho After Care urges male applicants to apply.

Dobsonville-based Thathezakho After Care, a non-profit organisation is looking for additional caregivers to join them in their efforts to help to improve the well-being of the orphans and vulnerable children in Old Dobsonville.

According to the centre manager, Dumisani Mayisela they are particularly looking for males applicants between the ages of 18 to 35, residing in Dobsonville and surrounding areas.

“Most of our caregivers are ladies, however, we cater for both young boys and girls.

“It is because of this reason that we are looking to recruit more males this time around.

“Successful applicants will help the children with their homework after school hours and provide additional assistance with art and sports.

“They will also help the children with the registration process of their social grants, especially those who are in dire need of social grant intervention for their survival,” said Mayisela.

Thathezakho After Care is working in conjunction with the Department of Social Development.

Mayisela added that there is minimal space available for female applicants compared to their male counterparts during this intake.

Unsuccessful applicants will be placed on the Thathezakho After Care voluntary programme. Successful candidates will be trained to become caregivers and they will be paid a monthly stipend for their services.

Applicants can start sending their CVs and interviews will commence on July 24.

Interested candidates can drop off their CVs at Thathezakho Primary School, Block Seven in Dobsonville between 9 am and 4:30 pm during the week.
