“I am a hustler, I do my own thang” – #DateMyFamily

What’s Trending? We look at yesterday’s #DateMyFamily episode.

It is not often that you hear someone talk boastingly about how much they make and how they create their income.

But, for 30-year-old Thulani Maphumulo – although he doesn’t have matric, he has discovered a way to generate some income almost on a day-to-day basis.

Thulani pursues fashion designing as his fundamental career – despite having ventured into other operations that in turn still bring a reasonable income.

If you watched Date My Family yesterday, then you probably witnessed how confident and articulate the bachelor (Thulani) was by the way he spoke throughout the conversations.

All three bachelorettes were not entirely pleased by the bachelor because he didn’t have a stable job and that he didn’t complete his matric.

“I understand the significance of school and urge young people to take education seriously. I didn’t complete my Grade 11 but I know very well that school is important,” said Thulani.

All three women were disapproving of the fact that Thulani doesn’t have a full-time job that isn’t seasonal. However, we should acknowledge that a man of his age is self-employed and is likely to create job opportunities for others if his business prospers.

Thulani and Sam (chosen date) went on the final date but the conversation seemed rather bitter simply because the bachelorette pointed out a few wrongs that don’t match her preferences.

So there won’t be a second date for Thulani.
