Most wanted suspect in Jabavu apprehended by police

The Sector Manager of Jabavu Sergeant Lekalakala and Constable Sizakele Nkuna have finally nabbed the most notorious, wanted 22-year-old male suspect of Jabavu.

He is well known for his robberies around 707 Panyaza and the surrounding areas of White City.

According to Captain Mpande Khoza, he had robbed many people of their cell phones, money, and jewellery. He was well protected by his mother, who always hides him whenever police are looking for him.

He was finally arrested and has appeared at the Protea Magistrate Court, where he is facing several charges of armed robbery.

“We would like to appeal to all people who were victims of this suspect to come forward and report to the police,” said Khoza.

“The police are aware that his family is doing everything to negotiate with the victims so that they can withdraw all the cases they have reported against him. The mother of the suspect is apparently the leader in terms of convincing the victims to drop their cases.

“We would like to warn the community that a criminal like him will not be easily rehabilitated unless he goes through the proper criminal justice system.

“If people are going to withdraw cases against him because of the promises made by the family members, the suffering will never stop at Jabavu, because when he is released from jail he will go back and commit similar crimes”.

“We also warn the family of this criminal that we are investigating them and will arrest them because they are trying to defeat the end of justice,” said Khoza.

“We would like to thank the community of Jabavu who assisted the police with all kinds of information that led to this arrest. We hope that the law will prevail and send him to prison for a long time so that 707 and the surrounding areas will be safe once again.”
