Dead baby found in Klipspruit West
Residents and police still in shock after a gruesome discovery of a dead baby
Police have launched an investigation following a discovery a dead body in Klipspruit West on Monday morning.
According to police reports, the body was discovered by a passerby under the bridge on Forche Street.
Paramedics were called and the baby was declared dead on the scene. The motive behind the killing is still unknown and no arrests have been made.
“There are facilities whereby one can leave these children instead of letting such a young life not to be lived. Such acts leave the country robbed in many ways.
“Further investigation is to take place and upon factual conclusion, necessary steps shall be implemented respectively,” said Kliptown Police Station commander brigadier Dalipukimar Baijnath.
