Slaghuis promises a lit year ahead

Slaghuis looks for camera Operators

Slaghuis will continue to be hosted every last Sunday of every month and promises a wonderful 2017.Black Friday was Slaghuis’s last event of the year, brought to the people by the Diepkloof Arts Academy. The event was to celebrate the Slaghuis event’s successful year which was overwhelming as it only returned on May 2016. It was a gesture of gratitude to everybody who has supported the movement from day one hence it was a free event.

Reason who was the main act of the day supported by Black Lez , Golden shovel from optical illusion , Mr. Beef and Neo beats blessed the masses with their stunning performances. Plus the free event was a form of an apology by Reason for not being able to make for the Slaghuis street festival which was a 13 year anniversary of Slaghuis. He blessed the masses and apologized.

Jeff Nkosi of Slaghuis aka Jeff Wabantwana said, “We promise the audience flames this year, more new acts will still showcased as accustomed, and the platform for old school artists will always be a part of the Slaghuis events.

“Since Slaghuis brings people the new and the old school in one stage, and SA hip hop is growing and is still growing, Slaghuis is there to emphasize the growth. Slaghuis Sunday cyphers are still on offer every other Sundays to provide a platform for new artists. Those who’d like to perform at the events and also be part of the cyphers need to upload their music on www.whereisthebeef.co.za which is a media partner with Slaghuis.

Soon Slaghuis Studios will be looking for camera operators to be trained by the Diepkloof arts academy so that they can benefit in camera operating since Slaghuis will be having more documentaries and artist profiles for the Where is the beef TV show.
