#FillUpOrlandoStadium lives up to expectation
Highly anticipated show proves Cassper Nyovest is one of the best the country has.
#FillUpOrlandoStadium had been a highly anticipated affair for months and it sure lived up to expectations.
Initiated and headlined by hip-hop heavyweight Refiloe Phoolo better known as Cassper Nyovest, the show took Orlando and the whole of Soweto by storm.
Music lovers and Cassper’s fans from across the country filled up Orlando Stadium and danced the night away.
The show was not limited to hip hop but it was a melting pot for almost all popular local genres. In the tight lineup was the “national asset” Babes Wodumo who mesmerised the crowd with her smooth moves.
It was a ten year anniversary for Mgarimbe with his hit Sister Bettina which caused revellers to lose control on the dance floor.
Collaboration between Cassper and Emtee was the highlight of the night not only because it was fire but because Cassper sang AKA’s verse.
Cassper’s unquestionable stage presence proved that filling up The Dome was not a mistake and given the chance he can fill up any venue this country has.
“Today is not about Cassper but it is about South African music. Without you, all this wouldn’t have been possible,” Cassper told his fans during the show.
The show will go down in history as one which transformed enemies to brothers in the music. AKA whose real name is Kiernan Forbes had earlier whished Cassper luck with the show on social media.
Those well wishes were followed by a picture of them hugging on Sunday morning. The picture set social media abuzz with fans already talking about the possibility of the two rappers doing #FillUpFNBstadium together.
