Protea Glen police officers arrested a man who is aged 37 years old for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in Braamfischerville, Soweto.
The perpetrator fired at and fortunately missed a man in Protea Glen extension 22 and luckily the victim managed to flee the scene. The victim was able to identify the perpetrator after he was traced and found in Braamfischerville.
He was searched and found in possession of an unlicensed firearm with the serial numbers filed off. The firearm was a 7.65 pistol and had two live rounds of ammunition.
The perpetrator has since been arrested on the spot and charged.
Three other men were also arrested yesterday for a common robbery at 7am in the morning.
All perpetrators will appear this week in the Protea Magistrate’s Court.
