Four arrested for multiple offenses

They were in possession of an illegal firearm and live ammunition.

Protea Glen police officers arrested a managed 37 years old for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and three other men for a common robbery at 7am in Braamfischerville, Soweto.

The perpetrator fired at and fortunately missed a man in Protea Glen extension 22.  The victim managed to flee the scene and he was also able to identify the perpetrator.

The perpetrator was traced and found in Braamfischerville. He was searched and found in possession of unlicensed firearm with the serial numbers filed off.  The firearm was a 7.65 pistol and had two live rounds of ammunition.

The victim identified the perpetrator as the man who shot at him.

The perpetrator has since been arrested on the spot and charged with the above mentioned charge.

All perpetrators will appear this week in the Protea Magistrate’s Court.
