Trophy displayed and rules announced for the Heritage Day Sports Tournament

The trophy that the participating teams will be playing for at the Heritage Day Sports Tournament was displayed at Kwalichaba and the rules were announced during a live draw.

Chairperson of the tournament and founder of 6 Jointz Creativez Mpho Mokgethi said that:

” For netball two halves of 15 minutes will be played per round robin fixture.
“A 5 minute interval will be given between the two halves.
“If pooled teams end on same points, tie breaker of 7 minutes per half will follow.
” No male participant will contest at the netball tournament,”

The rules for soccer differ from that of netball.

“Two halves of 40minutes will be played per knockout fixture.
“If results is a statement, penalties will follow.
“Red cards will result to automatic disqualification for the next round.
“Only two officials will be allowed to enter the field of play in a case of injury,” said Mpho.

Netball pool A teams include; Elyx, Mofolo Spurs, Candy Coated, Pimville Young ladies and Glam Squad.
Pool B teams include; Sdala77, Super Strikers, Highlanders, Rockers, and Future Masters.

The second edition of the Heritage day sports tournament will take place on September 24 at Fiat stadium in Meadowlands zone 9.
