Slaghuis Sunday Cyphers has great potential

Slaghuis helped launch famous rap artists.

The Slaghuis Cypher Sundays is set to launch upcoming Hip-hop artist’s careers and ready them for the Slaghuis event which is highly esteemed by local hip hop artists like Pro kid and Proverb.

Jeffery Nkosi aka Jef explained that as he Slaghuis team they noticed that there’s so much talent in Diepkloof and not all of them have a platform to showcase their skills. Nkosi said, “We made this platform so rappers can be encouraged to do what they love.”

Thando Lande and Sandisile Buwa represented the Iinjoli crew all the way from the Eastern Cape, they came to showcase their rap skills on the Slaghuis stage along with other upcoming rap artists like Khotso Makhubela aka Sly Kibbs. Lande said, “Slaghuis is one of the best hip hop stages in South Africa, we just wanted to come through to make our mark.”

Buwa aka Septic dropped a fusion of English rhymes with Xhosa flows, he said, ” I was invited to rap here to showcase my skills to Sowetans.”

Nkosi said, “All the artists that come to our stage know their game and have large potential.”
Makhubela from Diepkloof has performed in various stages, he said, “I realized that people from other areas know me so I wanted to make a name for myself in my hood.”
