Mapetla ward 16 councillor School Boy Kgobata and his team have embarked on a strong different cleaning campaigns in his areas.

The team has pinpointed different illegal dumping sites and dirty sites in the area where they clean by picking up papers, plastics and other environment affecting products and in return they create a mini park or kiddies play areas.

“There is no way in we going to have more illegal dumping more than parks in my ward, we want to make sure that we work hard and destroy all illegal dumping here and decorate such areas to mini parks and play and safe areas for both children and adults.”

Kgobata said: “This is an ongoing campaign and we will not stop but we can rest if half of the job is done and completed and after that, we will carry on and complete our mission.

“The only thing that we need is to get a lot of support from residents in all the areas where we volunteer our time and work at, we want other residents to also volunteer their time and help is cleaning the areas, because Mapetla is an area for everyone visiting and those living in it permanently.”
