Resident wakes up to flames
Meadowlands police report on a car that was found burning in the morning.
A man just reported possible malicious damage to his property at the Meadowlands police station.
He said after arriving at his home in Zone 10 last night, he parked his car and locked all windows and doors then proceeded to go inside his home to sleep.
In the wee hours of the morning he heard a knock on the door and when he woke up, he found out that it was his neighbour who told him that his car was on fire.
The victim of the alleged crime immediately went outside to attempt to stop the fire.
His neighbour told him, he was made aware of what was going on by the sound of a knock on the gate by an unknown woman who said she could smell smoke.
When she woke up and discovered it was a car, she then went to knock on their gate to let them know.
No arrests have been made and a docket has been opened for further investigation on the incident.
